Bonding with your Dog!

Building a great bond with your dog will strengthen everything from attention and recalls to other activities such as loose leash walking!

Training Pays Off!

We took our boy Journey on a walk today. He is a little skiddish and will run away from you if he gets scared. We have really practiced a lot of recalls and have been very patient about waiting on him to approach us but when he does he receives many rewards. It paid off today because we accidently dropped his leash while walking and at the same time a big boom happened. He darted away from us and any movement towards him made him move further away. We immediately began to move away from him in a playful manner calling him, (which is difficult when you are worried that he will bolt) but here he came running at us ready to play a game and get his treat! It is another good example how games and treats are great to train with, he knew by my tone and the game to chase me would be fun and rewarding. It actually pushed him through the fear of the noise that happened earlier. Keep training and keep playing! You can never train recalls too much!

Dealing with food aggression? Here are some good tips!

Teenagers and Restaurants!

A few of our teenagers are ready to try their manners on the patio of a few restaurants! We had a practice session in class yesterday and worked on our mats, calm behavior and a Leave it! Over the next couple of weeks we will practice at the Food Truck Park and The Pour House! Should be great fun! We missed you Gary, feel better soon
Everyone doing a great job!!

Here is Bella!

Working hard!! I even went by and petted them and they still did great not jumping! Good trial run!!

Here is Ivy!

This is very good because these dogs are very good friends and they love to play with each other, especially if they get a little bit bored!
