Holiday Tip #2

Holiday Tip #1

There will be many Christmas Parties coming up! This can be a stressful event for a dog with many people and children in the home!

We had a great time at Clark Gardens, the grounds were very pretty and peaceful! The dogs had many things to smell and see! We liked the gardens so well we will be planning a trip back for our evening Christmas walk on December 14th! They will have it all lit up for Christmas!

Pecans!

This was our first year to get pecans from our tree. I saved them and thought I would use them in a pecan pie for Thanksgiving! Look who feels good enough to oversee the shelling of the pecans! Yay!

If you train a dog with kindness, respect, and affection your hand not being the symbol of harshness and punishment. Your touch can be the greatest of rewards causing your dog to release the calming hormone, oxytocin, which helps calm your dog. It also can make your dog more social, and even increases his ability to learn. Touch can lower anxiety and bring about a sense of affection for both dog and person.

Charlie and Dixie Playing on top of the Dam!

We took all the dogs out today but this was Charlie's first time to play on the dam! We practiced many recalls                                                 using hand signals since he is a little hard of hearing!
