TTWS Walk!

Our Taming the Wild Side Walks are back! This walk will be Tuesday, October 29th at 9:00 am. We will meet at Pecan Valley Park. This is a beautiful walk in a heavily wooded park. The trail is paved. This is approximately a one and half to two mile walk. Great opportunity for your dogs to walk with other dogs and build a great walking group! There is no cost for this event however it is only open to clients of TTWS. If you are new and would like to join us, please call to set up an evaluation time. This is not an event to socialize a reactive dog. If you are unsure about your dog give me a call! Please RSVP for this event by clicking the following link:   http://www.supersaas.com/schedule/Taming_The_Wild_Side/Hike

Good News on Dodger!

I apologize for not updating, several of you have sent messages asking about Dodger. He went to to the vet on Friday for his evaluation. He has had a month of chemo and changed his diet drastically to no carbs, no sugars and only foods known to fight cancer. Both tumors are half of their original size! The primary tumor is as small as a marble! He will do two more weeks of chemo and then we will reevaluate. If tumors are even smaller, we may be able to finally remove them surgically!! This was a total surprise, we thought all of the things we were trying had not been working. So, Friday was a great day!!

In Need of a Home!

This baby girl was found along the road as a stray. She was nearly hit by a car until Renee with Lakeside Animal Hospital stopped and picked her up! She is under a year old, has been spayed and vaccinated but now she is need of a new home! They are calling her Millie! If you are interested in meeting Millie, please message us and we will put you in contact with Renee! This girl is very sweet!

Chasing butterflies!

Beautiful day yesterday! Took the dogs out to just play! We hiked by the river and then ran in a field playing chase me and we let Millie sniff out and hunt butterflies and grasshoppers! All tired after all the play! Have fun with your dogs today!

Love the ears! The blur in front of her I think was a grasshopper!

Hard to run and laugh at the same time!

Glacier and Draft Work!

We are starting Glacier in Draft work. Here he is getting fitted for his harness and his practice cart! Thank you all for your help and thank you for the wonderful surprise and gift of the cart and harness Patty and Mike Taylor and Karen Baker! I am very excited!

Ok Corgi/Border Collie fans! This is Ramsey! He is in our foster care, is great with kids, people in general and other dogs! He is the whole package however he needs a home! He would be a fabulous sport dog! If interested message me and I will set up a time for you to come and meet Ramsey! You will not regret meeting this boy!!

Surprising, not really!

People that use positive training methods and bond correctly with their dogs knew this long before this study came out. I do love that it is scientifically backed up now!

http://agilitymach.hubpages.com/hub/A-New-Study-May-Forever-Change-the-Way-We-Train-Our-Dogs

Both methods work but with one method you lose part of your dog and in its place you build fear, frustration, aggression and anxiety. Train positively, it matters.
