Glacier at Work!

Spent the afternoon working with Glacier! He got to be with several kids today and saw lots of smiling and caused lots of laughter. He can be such clown! Wow amazing how much he loves children! Well done big boy, well done!

He was listening to kids that were playing across the street! See his ears? Not paying attention to me at all, faking it! LOL!

Emmy, Roxie and Isis did great in Scent class! We brought in a second scent in class to introduce scent discrimination but could not fool them. They ignored the second scent and found the correct scent everytime! They were 100 percent! We were quite excited!

Building Confidence!

Tonight in Confidence Class we worked on being confident about going under obstacles! We started out with the board very high and then low! Great belly crawls! Also a few were confident about going under but were so excited to go that we worked on self control before going under! Here are Madison and Lucy working! Great job also goes to Sydney and BlueBelle!

This is cute puppy is Teddy and he has done extremely well with his obedience training however he has a very large pond in his front yard that he loves! We have started his boundary training, recall and leave it. Everyone is happy about that including the cat! LOL!!

Meet the canine family, we call them the Trail Mix Gang!

interesting new study!

This new study is going to be a lot of fun to work with and I think we are going to be really surprised to learn just how much our dogs really watch us and take in all that we do! Can't wait to launch this new class!

Why Puppy Breath Smells So Doggone Good!!!

One of the most delightful things about puppies is the sweet smell of puppy breath. Most dog lovers find it irresistible. Normal puppy breath smells sweet and indicates a healthy puppy. If your puppy has bad breath, there could be trouble.

Puppy breath smells so good because of the puppy’s healthy and mild diet of mother’s milk. The lactose in milk smells sweet. The digestive enzymes in the puppy’s tummy that break down the proteins in the milk also add to the sweet aroma. South Florida veterinarian Dr. Jennifer Prior says puppy breath may be the result of the esophagus, which is still developing in young puppies, leaking gases into the puppy’s tummy. If the puppy’s breath smells bad, it could just be you are one of the few people who find puppy breath resistible, even foul. Or, it could indicate a serious health problem.

These pups worked hard in confidence class last night! We get a little silly too!

Therapy Dog Hangout!

We took these therapy dog teams out to brush up on their skills! Tucker passed his therapy dog evaluation about a month ago and Jake will be evaluated soon! Both dogs were calm, welcoming to people and did well around the food! Great job tonight!

Good boys!

Excellent session with Isis and Madison Last Saturday!

We have been working on In home fighting. We are beginning our muzzle training so that we can bring them back together in just a few weeks! We want to make sure they are ready to meet but keep everyone safe in the process, So in the meantime they each must learn to love the muzzle, it has to value in wearing it which will be treats and games. Today they were able to play ball with the other being in the same room, they were leashed but we did not have any reactivity and at the end of the session both seemed to want to greet each other a bit and that is where we ended. Next week we step up a level! Their familys doing an outstanding job with training!

Great Tip!

Success!!!

After many, many weeks of training Banjo to not charge the fence when our neighbor is mowing or the grand kids are out playing, here he is finally just laying down and watching both mowing and kids playing! We are still working on people walking in front of the house with no charge but this is a good start! YAY!!!!!
